Volunteering

We need and rely on volunteers to keep Willow Tree Centre to the high standard expected and there are many ways you can help. Willow Tree consists of 15 acres in green belt land and we need to maintain the property as well as the site. We need people with a wide variety of skills both internal and external.

Individual Volunteering – this can be coming at a time that suits you or joining one of our ‘Service Teams’ who meet on a regular basis.

  • Maintaining one or two of the shrub boarders
  • Maintaining the Tranquil Area
  • Painting the outside timbers and picnic tables
  • Breaking up wooden pallets for the wood store
  • Carpentry repairs
  • Grass cutting
  • General weeding
  • Turning the bark in the Assault and Challenge Course areas
  • Maintaining the Reed Bed
  • Interior maintenance

Community Volunteering Days by Companies

This is a great way to carry out a valuable ‘Service to the Community’. We have more than 12,000 people using the Centre each year plus schools catering for those with special needs and/or physical disabilities.

A number of commercial organisations including Barclays, Coca Cola, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Canon Europe and GlaxoSmithKline have successfully held working days at Willow Tree Centre and bring between 10 – 30 people. As a company so much can be achieved and we certainly need you! Last year, one company ended their day with a BBQ which was very successful.

If you would like to help out, please send us an email and we’ll be in contact.
