Willow Tree Grounds

Get closer to the great outdoors and expand your classroom learning. With 15 acres of beautiful grounds, the Willow Tree Centre can accommodate a whole school if required. Regular users of the facilities at Willow Tree include all age groups from 3 to 18.

Why choose Willow Tree?
Willow Tree is an invaluable resource for schools. It is a fully secure site located in the heart of the countryside yet easily accessible from the A40 and M25. Surrounded by fields, the site borders Ruislip Woods, an ancient woodland covering 726 acres, which can be accessed from Willow Tree.

The site has many environmentally friendly features including a reed bed waste water system. There are bird boxes and a meadow area which supports a wide range of insects and wildlife where your pupils can discover animal habitats, find seeds and berries as well as identifying trees, flowers and grasses.

  • It is a safe and secure Centre with electronic entrance gate and CCTV cameras
  • Car parking for 50 cars and access for coaches
  • Safety Zone for those arriving in mini buses
  • Environmentally friendly with waste water treatment reed bed
  • National Curriculum linked resource packs are available for Early Years Foundation Stage, key stages 1 & 2. Topics covered include history,science and technology as well as sport based activities
  • Modern toilet blocks with additional disabled facilities

Your visit is supported by a resource pack which provides worksheets incorporating a wide range of learning subjects and the curriculum based material will support the initiatives from the government such as Every Child Matters and Excellence and Enjoyment.

  • Archery (Instructors can be provided)
  • Footballs and goal nets
  • Basketball
  • Volley Ball
  • Rounders with round and flat bats
  • Assault Course suitable for those under 13
  • Parachute with games
  • More advanced low level challenge course and horizontal climbing wall (age 10+) – Instructors available
  • Basic orienteering
  • Pioneering poles
  • Swing Rope and Spiders Web – Instructors available
  • Nightline (You will need to bring a change of clothing for this)
