Thanks To Our Volunteers

Teams of volunteers from local businesses helped us over the winter months to get Willow Tree into tip top condition in readiness for the new 2011 season.

Teams from GlaxoSmithKline and Pricewaterhouse Coopers gave up their time to help clear the Tranquil Garden, reed bed and surrounding areas.

Coca-Cola Lend A Hand

More than 12,000 people visit Willow Tree every year and keeping the 15 acre site in tip top condition is a never ending job. Without the help of our band of volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to maintain the high standards expected by all our guests.

This October, the staff from the commercial finance section at Coca-Cola in Uxbridge put down their calculators for the day, pulled on their wellies and hopped on the 331 bus to lend us a hand.

It was a busy Summer at the Willow Tree Centre with us hosting an open air jazz concert as well as a number of events celebrating the Girlguiding Centenary.

Thanks to the support of local business and our band of volunteers, we were also able to add some new features to the Centre over the Summer.

Willow Tree Website Launched

After many months of hard work behind the scenes we’re pleased to officially launch the new site. It features a lot more information about the Centre including links to all of the facilities, activities and all of the latest news from the Willow Tree Centre.

Lloyds Bank Work Day

Everyone at Willow Tree would like to thank the band of volunteers from Lloyds Bank who gave up their time to help out at the Centre this month.

Although it was bitterly cold, everyone mucked in and helped get the assault course ready, cleaned out the shower blocks, tidied up the gardens, hosed down the walkways, cleaned the BBQ areas and kitchens.
