OUR £650,000 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN TO IMPROVE THE FACILITIES

In order to further enhance the facilities we offer, we are actively seeking to develop supplementary training facilities. A purpose built training room, activity room, volunteer service room (crew room) with small kitchen, wash rooms, all fully accessible for those with disabilities, together with a secure Maintenance Block for machinery.

With more than 14,000 people from various organisations using Willow Tree every year, these buildings are necessary to enable more young people to carry out activities and and train adult leaders. The facilities are also used by a wide range of community organisations and other groups.

Over the years we have accumulated machinery and tools necessary for keeping the Centre in an excellent condition but need a purpose built maintenance facility to keep them secure.

Planning permission was given in 2007. Initial building costs are in the region of £650,000. These building will be constructed to the same specification as the existing buildings that are environmentally and ecologically friendly. As the ground is mainly ‘London Clay’ the foundations will be expensive and this has been taken into consideration.

We have several funders who are interested but need firm pledges to reach the total of £500,000 so all donations large or small would be gratefully received. Building started on 31st October 2011 but we need more donations to complete & fully equip both buildings.
